Down in the Land of Bon Bini

IMG_1327Bon Bini means welcome in Bonaire’s native language of Papiamentu.  And welcome to a new series of mine, Down In The Land Of Bon Bini, which will appear in every other edition of the Bonaire Reporter, the island’s English language newspaper.  These stories are based on original Island Notes of this blog, but have been revised, expanded and updated.  Plus some of the stories are from the early days of Island Notes, which were distributed by email before this blog existed.

Two upcoming episodes are Vanishing Shoes & A Flamingo On A Bicycle and A Gecko Behind The Canvas for the upcoming June 8 and July 6 editions respectively.  All you Island Notes readers can download the new series, Down In The Land Of Bon Bini at  http://www.bonairereporter.com/

The first two episodes are in the “Archive” section:  Waiting For Mangoes To Ripen (April 19, 2013, Page 6) and Dreaming Surfing (May 17. 2013, Page 8).
