365 Days, Almost. Day 237

Kibrahacha SunsetDSC_5391Kibrahacha means ‘ax breaker’ in Papiamentu due this tree’s dense, hard wood.  These native trees often bloom in April or May after the first hard rain that interrupts the dry spell that always follow the winter rainy season.  The blooms only last about three days.
